- Potential Applications of the 902-928 MHz Band and the Linx Modules -

Control the world !

Each member has his own particular interests.
So far, to stimulate ideas, we are considering the following
 for individual or group development:

1. Establish an antenna range for testing and plotting antenna patterns; test antennas can be scaled to other bands as desired. For each vector, take value from Rx RSSI, do A/D conversion, and plot relative signal strengths.

2. Erect a Beacon in the area on 903.370 MHz (Channel 0). Use circularly-polarized omni-directional antenna. Drive 10 watt amplifier.

3. Remotely monitor intrusion and security sensors.

4. Remotely monitor sound outside a building or wherever.  Set up a listening post for a Sasquatch.

5. Telemeter data, such as from weather/environmental sensors. Use APRS or Packet s/w or DTMF for encoding/decoding and transmission of data.

6. Telemeter and control the bearings of an antenna array, altitude and azimuth.

7. FM Radio Repeater with useful technical features. 12 MHz separation, low in, high out.

8. Simplex or Duplex data or voice Links to other systems.

9. Remote control - e.g. control of lights at cottage boat dock for landing approach,  arming/disarming security systems, etc.

10. Communication with a robot project.

11. Link audio from remote receiver, e.g. monitor audio on VLF receiver located at a quiet site.

12. Link to balloon-supported simplex transmitter/receiver on another band, e.g. 144, 222, 440 or 1240 MHz.

Please let me have your suggestions for additions to this list.
